Menschenhandel. Human Trafficking.

In the worst, darkest side of humanity, people are being tortured and abused beyond what our minds could fathom. One of the worst actions against another human is the instance of human trafficking.

I have chosen to explain this tragedy guided by information from the significant documentary, “The Day my God Died,” by Andrew Levine.

The portrayal of a young woman is repeatedly distorted on each page, as each image explores themes of lack of identity, miscommunication and hiding. The woman’s face is not visible, until her pure image is finally revealed with the names of organizations which protect trafficked victims.
